CAMBUILD’17 – the Biggest International Building & Construction Industry Show Cambodia will continue to be the No.1 platform for the building, construction, M&E and interior design industry to source for new technology, supplies, solutions and new design trends and ideas. For 2017, the focus will be on the theme: “Towards Quality Excellence & Green Building”. This is to meet the demand for property buyers looking for better quality materials and fittings. In addition, the Expo aims to support the Government’s initiative in promoting green building.
This focus will create new opportunities for exhibitors as the market moves towards quality and green buildings. Approved construction projects in Cambodia in 2015 grew to an estimated value of USD3.33 billion, a 33 percent year-on-year increase from the previous year, according to the latest report released by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC). With the Cambodian economy is expanding at over 7% per annum – one of the fastest in Asia spurred on by the tourism, retail, banking, building and construction and manufacturing sectors, the building and construction sector is set to expand further. In the pipeline are major building projects include residential, offices, industrial and also shopping complexes. At the same time, the Government is investing in improving infrastructure especially its road network, water and sanitation and power sectors.
